CHRISTMAS ~ SOCIAL ~ 2004
A good time was had by all that
attended. Our numbers were down a bit likely due to some
forgetting that we were meeting on the Monday instead of our
usual Tuesday night, as the room we meet in was not available
then. The turkey and gravy was cooked to perfection by the
kitchen staff of the Chatham Retirement Resort where we meet.
Others brought mashed potatoes, vegetables , soft drinks , and
desserts. I made a pumpkin pie from my own home-grown pumpkins,
and my own recipe , that went over well... the last ones to the
plate had to share the last piece. Guess I should have made
another. Our leader, Marion , was presented with a gift from the
group for all her work of the past year on behalf of our club.
Our plates were numbered on the bottom... that corresponded to a
gift at the side table... but some exchanged with others for
something more appropriate. Sheree came dressed the part....
